Now that summer time has officially arrived and the sun has come out we need to be careful that we don't let chainsaw safety slip. It's all too easy to go out in shorts and t-shirt because it's warm but they don't offer much protection.

Have a think about some of the light weight protective equipment like the Waipoua trouser or the Yukon trouser.

The Fiordland gloves are another great option. Light weight, flexible but still chainsaw protective.

It's also worth considering a pair of boots just incase.

Why not top it off with a pair of shaded safety glasses.
