As storms hit the UK there are going to be a few trees down. Safety is the most important thing. Always check for the danger of other trees falling before starting to cut. Wait until the wind has died down before going out. Consider getting some proper chainsaw safety wear. Oregon winter chainsaw gloves are a good idea for this time of year.

Carry a spare chain incase of damage. What about a felling lever or lifting pick to help move any fallen branches.
