We have been lucky enough to have had a good Summer but Winter is closing in fast. Don’t leave it to the last minute and then realise that you have run out of sticks, start your preparations now.

The first thing to check is your saw. Has it been running recently? If not it may be worth changing the fuel for some fresh stuff. Consider using some high quality Oregon semi synthetic two stroke oil for making a fresh mix.

Have you got enough chain oil? It is very important to keep your bar and chain lubricated during use so it would be useful to consider some Oregon Super Saw chain oil to keep everything moving smoothly. Check out our chain lubrication guide here.

Next onto the chain and bar. We have several guides on bars, chain and basic trouble shooting. Check the chain for having a sharp edge as a blunt chain will be hard on the whole saw. If not consider a new chain and possibly a sharpening kit to keep on top of it from now on. Here we have a very good guide on how to sharpen your chain.

With you saw ready to go and logs to saw why not have a look at one of our range of log horses to make the job much easier.

And last but not least don’t forget the all important safety wear. Check out our full range here.

If you would like anymore information about anything on here please feel free to contact us on here.
